I’ve been stressed lately and have been not going to the gym and overeating (way overeating, as in eating anything in sight – anything I want (donuts, pizza, etc) which is not like me as I’ve been a fairly healthy eater for the past year).
I had my first dress fitting this weekend, and although the dress fits, it doesn’t look the best because I’ve recently gained back 6 lbs (I am still down about 36 from where I started). My next dress fitting is in 2 months (4/24) and I want to lose 10-15 lbs by then. They held off on doing anything with the bodice until I see if I lose weight, and are working on the hem for now. I’m about 20 lbs. from where my doctor says I should be, and 30 lbs. from the top of the BMI chart (according to Weight Watchers).
I want to make my goal manageable because I do have 2 bridal showers and a bachelorette party between now and then, and I don’t want to set an unrealistic goal that’s unattainable. I know that 10 more lbs will make the dress fit better, and I won’t have any unsightly bulges coming out of the top of my strapless gown (which were kind of peeking out at this fitting). Plus exercising will help me build some muscle and tone up a little, even if the scale doesn’t go down as much I will look better due to exercise!
Who’s with me? We can come back to this thread for motivation and to hold each other accountable.

My wedding is already over but I am NOT happy with the way I look in pictures. Good god – the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life and it happened to be when I got married.
I can’t wait to shed some weight!

I’m in! I’ve already started losing weight for the wedding, but I’ve been struggling lately, so extra motivation will be great. 🙂

YES. my wedding is april 19 and then we are going on a cruise for our honeymoon (ie, ill be in a bathing suit for 7 days). i have GOT to look good. these pics will be around for the rest of my life. i can suck it up for 54 days and try to look good.
my issue though, is, i cant get too much smaller. my dress is a corset back and it is already as laced as tight as it can be, the seamstress said if i get any “smaller” then she will have to resize the entire dress, which i don’t want her to do (i love the shape of it- don’t want to risk losing that, especially with only 54 days to go!)
I just want my arms and shoulders to look good (strapless dress), and my midsection to be tighter/lose my belly bulge (bikini for 7 days). those are my 2 insecurities…
FI ordered me the Advocare 24 day challenge…has anyone ever done that? I just wanna get rid of maybe 5 pounds……

Yay I’m excited! Let’s “report” how we’re doing at least every Tuesday – but post whenever you need motivation, have tips or want to share success!!
I just ate a very healthy lunch, and am drinking lots of water. I made spaghetti squash last night so I’m going to have that for dinner after my Weight Watchers meeting tonight. This board plus my WW meetings will keep me motivated!

Count me in. I weighed myself yesterday and I weigh more now than I did when I was 9 months pregnant. Yikes!!!!!!! I need the motivation ladies!

Count me in! Not even engaged yet, but just started running again and focusing on my diet starting last week in an effort to lose 10lbs. I moved and started a new job in November and gained about 10lbs, so now I’m trying to lose the weight and get fit and toned!
So far I’m eating low-carb/paleo-ish and let myself have some cheat meals on Saturday. Cutting down on the starches had an instant effect. I already lost a few pounds and my tummy doesn’t look bloated. I’ve also been doing squats daily.

@MsYankee: I’m right there with you! I was doing so well and then the holidays hit. Now I’m up about 6 pounds- I don’t even know how. So frustrating because I was only 4 away from my goal weight. Now I need to lose 10!

I’m in! Starting back today, I started tracking for WW and will be going on the treadmill in the next hour.
