My FI can’t really wear a ring so he’s really only getting one for the ceremony and for special occasions. I plan on wearing my wedding band all the time (same as my e-ring). Right now it looks like his will cost around $400 while the one that I love is around $650. Is it normal for a woman’s wedding band to cost more than her FIs?

@renwoman: I’d… say that’s pretty normal. Most guys I know have something like a Tungsten ring, whereas the woman has a gold or gold/diamond ring.

each of my wedding bands will be over $2kish, and I’m going to have one on either side plus a plain band and probably an eternity to wear when I don’t want to wear my full set, but his will be a custom platinum ring so his will be probably more expensive than any one of mine (except the eternity band) but alltogether mine are definitely more expensive.

DH’s ring was almost 3 times more than mine (and mine was custom made!)

Mine is platinum with diamonds… his is tungsten. So yeah, mine costs more!

Yup, mine was 1,400 and his was 300. 🙂 He loves his, tho!

@renwoman: its pretty typical for the woman’s w-band to cost more. my DHs w-band was actually thrown in because DH got my e-ring and w-bad from him. So as a courtesy he threw in the w-band for DH and his was just a plain platinum band.

Haha his is more than mine! I think I paid around 1k for his ring and he paid a little under 700.00 for mine

Mine was wy more… 1100 vs 45.

@renwoman: Mr. 99’s was far and away more expensive than mine, the thing is heavy, and thick and solid gold….it was double the cost of my thinner, channel set diamond eternity band.

Mine will be much more – WG and diamond half eternity band versus his – Tungsten Carbide YG plated.

Mine is almost three times more than what my husband’s cost.

They were about the same actually! Mine had small diamonds, and cost around $750. His fingers are so small that the white gold band he chose ended up being around $700.
Don’t mind the college rings, lol, this is the only photo on this comp with both bands.

@renwoman: if you are comparing the exact same ring just different sizes, his will usually be more expensive due to more gold (or metal). women’s rings are more expensive when they include diamonds, or engravings, etc.
my wband was way more than my dh’s b/c mine has diamonds.
