@Wonderstruck:  People taking pictures of the food they make. Drives me nuts. Like seriously why do I need to know every single item you have eaten on Christmas.

Political posts drove me BONKERS!!!!!! Not really the posts, but other people’s comments and rants when half the time they didn’t even know what they were talking about.  It got to be so ridiculous and overwhelming I had to stay off facebook until the election was over.  People are STILL going on about it and it’s December 20th!!!!

Recently, the posts implying that the Connecticut shooting happened because “God has been taken out of school.”  And the posts about how terrible it is that kids aren’t allowed to pray/read Bibles/say the pledge in schools – because that’s a load of bull.

@figgnewton:  This! But not just on Christmas. I hate almost every post that has a picture of the food someone made. Don’t get me wrong, I have had meals prepared like artwork. Food that has looked to achingly beautiful that you must capture it. But none of my FB are culinary artists! Why in the fiz-nuck are you taking a picture of the chicken and mac-and -cheese you made? Who cares? I know 12 year olds who can make that! I am not impressed by your everyday pancakes! Who cares? We all eat! ooooooooh, tacos! Who gives a flying F***…

Ok, I am sorry. I went to an angry place. But…I just really, really hate it.

No one I know does elf on a shelf, so I’m lucky there. I am sick of the war on Christmas crap… There is no war on Christmas. Shut up.

@DrTeeth:  oh my gosh, yes… or that it was the fault of homosexuals… As if homosexuality was some new thing.

@DrTeeth:  I totally agree! Sure, some people may need god/relgion in their lives, but to imply that something so awful happened because of people with different beliefs is just disgusting.

I hate…

  1. The “war on Christ/Christmas” brigade
  2. The “God is great, etc.” posts – sure, a few times, but I’ve got a friend that did 23 statuses in a single day. Whatever happened to Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
  3. Luckily these ones are for this year only – the doomsday people! “I survived the end of the world, lololol! I’m clearly so witty and clever.”

@DrTeeth:  I hate those posts! I’ve seen so many of them in the last week or so. I’m always tempted to reply “Dear God, Surely you’re allowed to stop abuse in churches, then?”

@DrTeeth:  I know!  So God is pissed that he’s not “allowed” in schools anymore, so he lets some psycho shoot 20 kids?  WHAT?!  That makes no sense.  It’s fucking ridiculous.

In general, Republican & super Christian stuff annoys me.  Luckily I don’t have too many of those friends  🙂

Everybody that got “knocked up” over the summer is now posting “baby coming XXX” or “baby makes three” Christmas pictures. There are more tummy photos on my FB than I am prepared to deal with. Today makes 12 people I know within our close circle that will be expecting a little one in March/April/May.

Do these people not go outside during the summer?

@Wonderstruck:  What is Elf on the Shelf? It sounds throat punch worthy.

@mrsSonthebeach:  Ooh, I haven’t seen the blame-the-gay posts yet.  I’m missing so much 😐

@LadyElva:  I know, right?  Normal “rejoicing in my religion” posts rarely bother me.  I mean, good for you, you know?  But when they start the blame-game or disparging others, it just makes my blood boil.

@Bellagiobride:  “It sounds throat punch worthy.”  I busted up laughing.
