I was just thinking the same tonight! I had finally scheduled a weekend where we could go down to VA and do a walk through, cake tasting and meet a potential officient. Tonight FI told me, OOPS he actaully has a work commitment that weekend and he FORGOT about it. SRSLY? When i asked you if you were free the weekend of the 15th you said, sure! Now you finally got around to actually looking at your calendar and realized you are totally booked that weekend?? UGH.

Vent over…

@GreenEyedMoon: Oof, I hear you. Hopefully your rescheduling goes well. Men can be dinks sometimes.

At least your FI can agree to attend/not attend things…seriously. With Mr.ND, it takes him FOREVER to commit to attending or not attending something…if I ask him on Wed night what we’re doing Friday, I get an “I don’t know, it’s only Wednesday?!” Wedding planning with him is ridiculous, haha.

I don’t think it’s a gender thing. Loverboy is much better at remembering things like dates and commitments than I am. He believes in calendars and planning ahead and other magical things like that.

Totally a gender and personality thing. My FI is JUST getting around to planning his little bro’s bachelor party. FBIL is getting married on 5/8. Yep. That’s about a month. My poor FBIL was texting me asking if my FI was planning something or not.

I feel your pain. I gave FI a list of tasks for the wedding and he didnt have a timeline for ANYTHING…like he didnt even know when hie uncle was coming to town and his uncle is cooking for the dinner!!!!!

Hmmmm… Mine managed to schedule an appointment on my birthday. And I quote “The date seemed to ring a bell, but I checked in the calendar and it seemed to be free…” And he’s normally pretty reliable (more than me if I’m totally honest! Dozy 🙂

It’s totally a gender thing, but it’s also because they know we filx it if they screw up.  Why bother worrying their pretty little heads with all the details!
