@WillyNilly:  Hmm… I think the thought it good, but I’d be concerned with, “Does Sara like cherries?”  “Does Liz drink wine?”  “Will Gabrielle watch Bridesmaids?”

To me, ideal gifts are usually thoughtful (and DIY is great!) but also something they’d enjoy, but might not get for themself.

As long as all your bridesmaids drink, I think the wine is a keeper. Maybe you could do personalized or decorated wine glasses to go with each bottle?  I think the Owl pendant is nice, as long as they’ll wear it too.

Also, Lush’s bath bombs are the shit… just make sure they all have a bathtub to use them in!  (I don’t and this deeply saddens me).

@WillyNilly:  Yeah, I think I get you and I think it works.  It’s kind of like sharing all of your favorite things with someone, which is cool…. AS LONG as they’d also enjoy them.

And yes, the no bathtub thing BITES.  Whenever I travel, I try to book hotels with tubs, so I can bring my Lush Bombs and use them there.  🙂

Hi there fellow bubble bath and lip balm junkie.  😉  Hmmmm.  I think your ideas are lovely!  I especially like the idea of a personalized chalice.  Obviously these are your dear friends with whom you have a lot in common so I feel it’s safe to go with your gut.  Usually when I give gifts I think, “Would I like this as a gift?”  And if I would I go for it.

I don’t have any original ideas for ya, to add, because I’m not having a wedding party (lucky me) we’re having a very, very small wedding – just me and FI, our two sons and immediate close family and friends.

My only concern for you is your wedding is in August, so don’t take on too much and get overly stressed.

Love ya!   Wink

I didn’t get all my BMs the same thing pretty much because of the same concerns. It just seems like a gift should be about the person receiving it, not the person giving it. So I’m a bit skeptical about some of the items you listed, to be honest. One of my best friends is obsessed with owls and I actually did get her a pendant like you described as part of her gift…but if she got one for me I’d kinda be like ‘wtf? that’s your thing, not mine…’ in my head.

I think you did great. I would love to have that as a gift, and where the heck did you find pineapple lip balm?! I want some…pineapple is my fave, and I am also obsessed with lip balm. lol
