From what I've seen, most want the opposite of what they normally have. If they usually have curls they want it strait for their wedding and vise versa. :)
@BruinBee: I actually was the opposite. My hair is so curly that any straight or even wavy style ran the risk of falling out really easily or frizzing up really bad.
But yeah I think some people think they do look softer and romantic.
My hair tends to look scraggly after a few hours if it's straight (which I normally don't care about.) Curled and hair-sprayed, though, it looks intentional for hours.
Curls are more romantic and are more flattering to a lot of faces versus straight. I look prettier with curls/waves than with straight hair, it's weird but it changes how my entire face looks.
Curls can add movement and visual interest.
Side note: My friend just got married. At her hair-trial she had curls. The day of, she decided to go straight. I thought her straight hair looked much better with her dress.
I also think it looks more "dressed up". my FSIL had straight hair (half up) for her wedding this past Oct. and I thought it looked like she looked like she was still just trying dresses on... not like THIS WAS THE DAY.
does that make sense? I think I may have just confused myself lol

I am curious why people think curled hair is so popular for wedding styles. Is it because they look more romantic?
