Why did you add a corset back to your dress?

The sales lady talked me into it by showing me the difference in feel between a dress with one and without. With it, my boobs don’t need any additional support and my dress doesnt budge. Otherwise I think I would have found myself pulling up on the top off my dress all night, if that makes sense. I personally liked the look of my dress better without the corset back, but it does give me extra definition in my waist. (all of this with a strapless dress in mind, btw)

ultimately I think it’s just personal preference.

I got a corset back on my dress because it gives my waist more definition and I feel more supported.  Also, my dress has a very romantic look to it, and I thought the corset back look better on the gown.

It emphasized my hourglass figure without lots of figure hugging alterations.

Also, I forgot to mention – it allows wiggle room for last minute weight fluctuations, like you could go up or down by a few pounds before the wedding with no worries of the dress being too big or small.

I didn’t, but I wish I did! I tried on some lace-up backs and they did amazing things for my waist line!

Honestly, it was the dress that I chose at a sample sale….I didn’t go for it because of the corset back…I’m glad I did though…

I am having the modesty panel removed since my back is looking awesome from the strength training I’ve been doing…I want to show it off!

@linnylou_88:  My dress doesn’t come with a corset back, but I’m having a tailor add one during alterations.  For me, it’s a weight fluctation issue.  I can cinch it as tight as I need even if I lose or gain weight.  I don’t want to risk it being too loose and falling down or being too tight and not zipping up!
