So, Mr. Snuggie just sent me an IM and said, we should be engaged for 20-24 months in order to save money and do it big on NYE 2012.  I was like, WTH?!  I was like, stop playing with me, you've hinted that you have the ring and it was going to happen sooner than I thought.  Seriously, I thought Xmas and now I'm thinking NYE.  After that IM, I'm thinking it isn't going to happen until Xmas 2010 or NYE 2010 to give us a 24 month engagement.  SMH.  I'm a tad bit upset and have now convinced myself all this "research" jinxed me.  SMH.  Why do men tease us so much?

Because they want to throw us off. My FH just proposed on Christmas and he was trying to throw me off up until the last minute. He said that I get the whole wedding so I should let him have this one thing.

@trugem.  Thanks!  I needed to hear that.  But, we've agreed to a date after I called him during his lunch break to ask him not to tease me like that.  He just feels we need more time to save money to have the wedding WEEKEND we want.  So, I do agree with him.  He actually agreed 2012 was too far away, so, looks like it might happen soon and we decided on 12/31/11.  I checked to see what day NYE was in 2012 and it's a Monday.  Also, 2012 is a leap year.  I got married the first time during leap year.  When i told him that, he jumped on the 12/31/11 date.  Long engagement will do us some good.  More money for the wedding, not going broke paying for the wedding and more time save for a house while planning the wedding.  :-)

That's good. We haven't set a date yet but we were leaning towards 8-7-10, but now we are thinking about 12-31-10. It will give us more time to plan, plus it will be cool to go into the new year celebrating our union.
