I had originally registered at Kohl's and Target.  My FI and I had spent hours picking things out for the kohl's registry.  When we logged back on a few days later the website said we didn't even have an account.  We went back to the email confirmation they had sent us for our wedding registry and signed in again.  Still didn't work... So we said F*** it and then started a registry at Sears in stead.

Well, to make a long story short, the Sears registry hasn't been working out either.  We will register for something and then either it never shows up or it says "out of stock".  This has been very frustrating for us.  We then closed that registry.

Now we only have Target.  Today I went on the registry to take a few things off, that were given to me at the shower, but were not from my registry.  Well, now the target account says I have 0 items registered for!!!  I sent Target an email.... I hope they can retrieve my registry.  I also did a search on the website for my registry but it came up blank.

I am so sick of this.....

We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Macys and had no trouble at all.  I've made multiple changes at the store and online and I've never had an issue.

We started both of our registries in the store, not online so I wonder if that contributed to your porblems.

Do you have a Bed Bath and Beyond near you?  I loved registering with them and checking it online was so easy.  It might be a good choice if you want a second registry.

We used Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Crate & Barrel, & Pottery Barn.  All were super easy to register with and manage!

Oh no!!! I did Williams-Sonoma, Macys, and Lowes with no problem. I've heard of issues with Targets' registry though.

really they should make it as painless/easy as possible

I'm pretty sure Target's registry sites are all down at the moment. I can't access mine and I clicked on a few others and none of those are accessible right now. I'm sure it's temporary.

I also recommend Bed Bath and Beyond. I'm a Target shopper and at first wasn't so sure at registering at BBB because I rarely shop there. They were really easy to work with and I know my guests appreciated the free and pretty gift wrapping they provide.

We were trying to find stores that are National since most of our guests are from OOT all over the place.  It has been a little bit of a nightmare...  I can't even think about starting over, not to mention our wedding is just 5 weeks away.

Hopefully the Target one will get fixed.  Maybe we will try to start another one, but I am so burnt out with this stuff, I almost don't even want to try again.

Another problem is that my FI works late and we do a lot of that stuff late at night (stores are closed) online.  Weekends would work, but now we have something planned just about every weekend till the wedding.....  its just so annoying that they can't just make it simple.

My FI found this awesome website called MyRegistry.com and that's what we've been using. So far there hasn't been any problems. It's really cool because you can register for items from any and every store you want!

We didn't have any problems with our registries (Target, BBB and Macy's), but the process was intense.  I would suggest starting the initial registries in the store instead of online.  We did that and even though it was more time consuming, that way, someone there gets all your info entered and everything and you don't have to start the registry yourself.  You can edit and add/delete items online later, but this seemed to save us the hassle in the set-up.

We used BBB, Williams sonoma and amazon.  I love all of them, but Amazon has really been wonderful for our out of town guests.  This way the gift is shipped directly to my parent's house and they don't have to worry about purchasing one here or flying over with it. And BBB? You just can't beat their return policy, it rocks!

I registered at Sur La Table and it never got on the computer. What a pain! It's also hard to add things online with them. They don't have their acts together. So, I deleted my registry.

But, I LOVE bed bath and beyond. That was really easy. They had everything I wanted from Sur La Table. And they are much cheaper if you factor in those 20% coupons.

I am also registered at Macys. They have sales! It's wonderful! They have Martha Stewart!

The final registry is Williams Sonoma. Beautiful but expensive. If you shop around there, you find that they have some things called "exclusives" that are great and full of value.

    Good luck!
