@HVbride:

Lol I don’t get it either. Angry, sulky, in pain, underage, constipated, edward scissorhands hair, posed so awkwardly it’s like something’s dislocated…it all screams “I’m so happy to be getting married!” I don’t know why the designers think this makes us more inclined to buy their gowns…though I guess after awhile I rarely paid much attention to the model’s face and was more concerned that the same dress on a 6 foot tall size 0 person would never look the same on me no matter how sulky I got haha 😛

What’s crazy is that some of the dresses look awful on such tall and skinny people. If I had seen my dress on the model before I tried it on I would have thought it was awful. The model was so tiny from the waist up that the skirt looked like a giant puff ball. On me, it was much more in proportion and normal. Putting the dresses on average size people would much better and more helpful.

I think they’re going for a couture/editorial look in ads; but I think that the dresses would look a lot nicer if the models looked less miserable!

@gingernutjo:  Wow that dress really looks sooooo much better on you! I would never have wanted to try it based on the model, but seeing you in it, I’d want to for sure!

I agree…many of the dresses look WAY better on real women with curves. I wonder why the designers choose the models they do…or the poses they choose!

They look so miserable because they are not real brides, they don’t get to be excited and over the moon when they find their dress! They don’t get to experience the same emotions real brides have!

Ok, another thing. Why do they have pictures of the models in the dresses lying down?? I always think, pretty picture, but can I please see the dress? Half the time you can’t see a lot of the skirt as it looks like a giant pile of fluff piled around them.
