Idk it sounds like some shady business, if you believe you were ripped off you should say so, and threaten to report them to BBB or contest the charge on your cc if they don’t reduce the bill for the sleeves.

@eehkay:  Honestly, yes it sounds a bit shady.  Im at work and cannot watch youtube.  But I know Pronovias is a stickler with their gowns.  I ordered mine at the flagship store and the saleslady made it seem like they don’t do a lot of special requests.  Before contacting the BBB (which I do recommend you do eventually).  I would call the flagship store in NYC and see if they even allow for fabric orders and if the prices is near what you were charged by the salon.  I don’t know if there is a different set of rules since yours is an Elie Saab.

Since your gown cost as much as certified pre owned car Im really shocked at the treatment you received from the salon.  Did you happen to notice where they may have taken the applique from the gown?

Okay, so I’m a little unclear about something… is there a place on your gown(‘s skirt, presumably?) where the material is hacked/damaged because the appliques that were supposedly special ordered from Spain were actually removed from the skirt? Or do you think the appliques came from a part of the skirt that was removed when the length was altered?

And were the cap sleeves ever made? Because clearly you should get a refund for them if they weren’t!

I would email all of that to Pronovias and see if they can verify the price/material/etc..

I am sorry,  Ia mstill stuck at the 750 dollar price tag for the sleeves.

That is BULLSHIT!

I love that you have documented everything. Now send a letter with your details, and demand a refund or you are reporting them to BBB and also taking them to small claims court.

@eehkay:  Based on that picture, I’d have to side with you and agree it looks like they pulled it off the skirt and then placed a flower on top to deter your eye.
