Haha, yeah, I use powder over mine to get a matte look. I like it though! What base makeup are you wearing in the other pics? It looks nice!

If you shop at sephora you can ask for samples of a few different foundations to take home. That way you don’t need to buy and return until you find the right one. I thought MUFE was okay, but it wasn’t “the one” for me. Christian Dior and Lancome were better, and I ultimately went with one from Smashbox. I think it’s a lot of trial and error to find the one that feels and looks right for each person.

I ended up using my great grandmother’s brand on top of the MUFE HD and it set to the point that even here in SW LA I was asked why I don’t sweat … but I understand that it isn’t what you expected.  I love that at Sephora I can explain that I tried x and I didn’t like it for reasons 1, 2, 3 and get other ideas and even samples! good luck! your skin is beautiful in the pics!

I found I hated MUFE myself it made my face feel so greasy by the end of the day.

I find with most liquid foundations I still want it set with powder, its not a MUFE HD. I recommend NARS Sheer Glow over MUFE any day! Chantecaille make lovely ones too.

Urban Decay makes a great Naked foundation, it’s much thinner consistancy than MUFE liquid. I had never wore liquid until my UD Naked skin foundation either, I still don’t wear it all over, but it with my powder ends up looking perfect. I’m also not a fan of a dewy finish either.

@AllyBernard:  Interesting! Thanks for the review. I love your normal makeup, it looks awesome and I would have believed it was professionally done.

I think the foundation looks great in the picture, but that foundation is way too expensive to not love it. I use Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and it is a very dewy foudnation, but mattes out nicely with powder.

To be totally honest, when I tried the MUFE HD, it was nearly the same as my CoverGirl foundation (which wasn’t great to begin with). I now use the Revlon Nearly Naked, patted with CoverGirl Smoothers pressed powder and finished with a matte setting spray.
