me me me!! it snowed over 1 foot just the other day(3 weeks before my wedding!) and we were under flash floods last night with tornadoes, and this friday they are predicting winds exceding 50mph!!! ugh!
Yes! I am just starting to get nervous. We had some unseasonably warm days in April, and I really thought we were off to a nice summer. But it's been in the 50s-60s with some scattered nice days for a while. Next week is supposed to be pretty nice, so I am hoping. Last year, we only had 9 days without rain between Memorial Day and July 4th or something ridiculous like that. It was a wet, gross, unsummer, and I could really use some extended sunshine!
I'm in LA and I remember going through the same thing last summer. I have migraines that are triggered by weather changes from warm to cold and last year was hell for me right through June and even into July we had some cooler weekends into the 70's. It's DEFINITELY a far cry from walking around in shorts, a swim suit and bare feet growing up a "Valley Girl" in the 80's!
Yep. Usually by now it's in the 70s at least around here, and it's been 50s and loooow 60s for the past few weeks. Like others, we had some warm April days but not enough! I read somewhere that North America is the only continent currently experiencing a slight cooling, the rest are warming.
@cricket1524- Huh, I forgot about last year, guess I'm paying more attention this year because of the wedding :) I could've sworn I was driving my convertible with the top down this time last year though...All I know is I'm praying for a sudden heatwave that weekend!
I live on the beachside of LA and this is normal for us. Mid-May starts the "May Gray" season which rolls into "June Gloom." I'm not a fan of this type of gloomy, rainy weather but it has been like this for the past 10 years I've lived here so I guess I'm used to it!
I remember last year on June 5 it was RAINING here in LA! I remember thinking "this better not happen one year from now!"
Sending us all good vibes for good weather on our wedding days! I need a "good weather" dance!! :)
Surprisingly Michigan was terribly hot and sunny!!! It felt like 90 degrees here for the past few days. That is so weird. Hope to send you some of the heat in Cali.

This is the coldest spring I can remember in SouthernCal since El Nino. Normally in San Fernando Valley mid-may starts getting uncomfortably hot for long sleeves. Yet we've had nothing but cool weather and occasional rain for months now. The forecast by the beach where we're getting married shows 68 degrees during day and 52 at night for the next 10 days or so. Our ceremony and nighttime reception on Memorial Day are both outdoors :( This means I'm going to freeze my butt off in my strapless dress!
Is anyone else having the same problem where they live?
