I have had short hair for an extremely long while–around 5 years. I loved in short and kept it that way for my wedding. I just feel feminine that way. When I was in high school, I had long hair down to my chest, and I could do pretty things with it if I took a very long time in the morning getting ready. The problem was then, that my hair was pretty thin and occasionally it would look kind of scraggly if I straightened it and didn’t do something time extensive with it. This is what encouraged me to cut it short. I’ve had pretty much every short style imaginable since then, and loved most of them.
In the last year I decided to attempt growing my hair out. It’s almost shoulder length all around (my hair grows at lightening speed) and some days I really like it, but sometimes I just am driven crazy with it when it doesn’t cooperate. I do like doing things with my hair, but many of those involve a blow dryer or a curling iron–basically some heat device.
Most of the time I’ve been growing it out I’ve been conflicted between keeping it short and continuing to grow it out. A lot of people I know automatically say grow it because I think that many people associate feminine hair with long hair. I’m not one to follow the crowd, I enjoy being different, and having fun in my style. I love being able to find beauty in different looks. And SO MANY people in my area have long hair if they are a woman. (not many pixie cuts my age). I don’t enjoy taking the time to scrunch my hair only because it involves so much product, and I don’t like how much that process dries my hair out.
So, I need suggestions. Short or long hair on me? I have been unable to come to a decision for months now. I’m sure people are sick of hearing about it.
This is what it looked like for my wedding, and I really liked the length
Another photo of a style I had when it was short:
This is pretty much the length it is now, if I do nothing to it but brush it in the morning. Doesn’t look horrible, but to get any other look, I have to spend around 20-30 minutes doing something to it.
And this is similar to what it looks like if I spend forever doing something cute to it:

This is a tough one. I’m kinda inclined to suggest you grow it even longer and then decide if you want to chop it or not. Like long enough to put into ponytails and buns and stuff.
I don’t really like your current length, but I’d like to see you with longer hair lol.
Short suits you, I think… it’s not my favorite for most chicks, but I think you can pull it off. Do whatever you feel prettiest in!

IMO, short hair looks best on young women and older ones. You have a beautiful face – show it off with the short haircut!

I am jealous of any woman who can pull off a short cut, I love your hair in the wedding photo. I voted short.

I think you pull off the pixie cut insanely well! It really brings out your eyes. If you think that you would have the time to style your hair, I say keep growing it out and then decide once you have more options. I’ve never been happy when my hair is that in-between length – too short to do ponytails (necessary for me!) or buns, but too long to feel like it has any sort of style. When you look at teh photos you posted, which makes you immediately smile? Go for that length

Right now it’s at that awkward growing out phase where it’s too long, but not long enough. I think you should grow it out more and then decide.

You look so good with a pixie.

I voted pixie – i have one too, but thank you for posting a picture of yourself as a bride with short hair, I keep getting HORRIFIED looks when I say I’m not growing it out!

Short! You look absolutely amazing with the short hair, though I may be biased as I’m also rocking the pixie cut. 🙂

Short hair! And get a long-hair wig for times when you feel like having it long…without the time or commitment. 😉

You can definitely pull off the pixie, that is for certain! Looks great on you! Your lucky, however I voted to let it grow a little longer – like 3 more inches, if you don’t like it – at least you know you can chop it and look fabulous!

Ended up cutting it, and I feel SO MYSELF! Long hair just isn’t “me” I guess. This is what I cut it like this afternoon. e. e

I like the short hairstyle 🙂
I’m growing my hair out for my wedding, but I miss my short hair – much like yours. As soon as the wedding’s over, I’m chopping it!
