Someone marked my latest thread as spam a few minutes ago, I think that was quite unfair since that had nothing to do with any kind of spam, and, I don’t think the topic was anything to be offended about.
I said that I would like to lose 22lb a week, until june, and wanted to start a thread for all other ladies that had a specific body goal (being clear that it did have to be the same as I did, it could be any muscle gain, weight loss or measurement goal what so ever) in which we could motivate each other and to share progress and talk about food and training etc! 🙂
I thought it was a really fun thread, I am sorry if someone didn’t like it, but I doubt the one marking it as spam (not even a minute after I created it) did even read the thread. There was nothing offending about it!
Yeah, I am a bit bummed cause I was really looking forward to use the thread as motivation, I really hope that some of the admins decide to reopen it again.
This is to the partypooper who maked it as spam: Boooooo!

OMG, I have the same issue too!
I just posted a thread to see if the culture here of the grooms to be is different from where I come from. I was just posting based on curiosity and not to offend anyone.
I’m not from around the area, hence I’m quite puzzled as to my post which was also marked by ‘spammed’.
Anyway, with regards to your inquiry… I say keep motivating yourself and have that goal in your mind at all times. Be discipline and peservere through, I believe you can do it with determination!
you can do it!

22lb? That’s a lot per week. If you had the same typo in your original post someone may have thought you were baiting.
Do you mean 2lbs a week?

Maybe just make a new one instead of getting all offended about it. It’s been happening to a few people not just you.

Could itbe accidental? i’ve accidentally flagged a few posts because the “Flag” selection is where the “Like” selection is on my other forums, lol. Oops.

Becks90, I don’t remember what exact number it was, I am from Sweden so I tried to convert 1 kg a week to the americn measurement, it was probably 2lbs, if that is more likely, however, it was very clear in the thread that I meant 1 kg, as in, a healthy weightloss. Nothing extreme by any means. In case I wrote a number too much someone could have easily corrected me instead of deleting the whole thread, the number would have been pretty easily corrected by me 😛 Sorry if I sound upset, but I am. Haha.
Violetseas, well I thought it was better for me to address it here and get my old thread published again than to just create a new one that would get marked as spam right away too? That’s kind of pointless.
Littlepinkpointes, that is just absurd… If someone has a problem with people talking about fitness or culture maybe they should hang out on a forum where there is no such categories to chose from.. 🙁 And thanks for your motivating words, they make me cheer up a bit again! <3 🙂

WesterosBarbie : Haha ouch, is it that easy to mark things as spam? Well maybe I should give whoever did it the benefit of the doubt and just assume it was an honest mistake.. But people get so offended just about anything these days so, you never know. Maybe I’ll just start a new thread then and see how that is perceved! 😛

bibilicious : I’m saying it’s a mistake so it’s unlikely to happen again. That’s what happened in the other case.

1kg = 2.2 pounds so my guess is the 22 pounds you accidentally put made some poster feel that you were baiting or attempting to body shame. Who knows. Fair enough, 22 pounds is ridiculous number, lol.
Post agian and jus make sure your conversions are right, :).

I was taken aback cause my thread was marked as spam and it disappeared like less than a minute after I posted it.
you are so welcome. I know it’s possible because I’ve seen how friends of mine successful lost weight within a short period of time via determination. So it’s possible!

bibilicious : I seem to recall others in same predicament of having their posts marked as spam recently so maybe there’s some flaw in the board :/:/
I think if you post again it’ll be OK. Good luck with your weight loss though!

VioletSeas : Haha well, first of all, when creating this post, I didn’t know about any other case, as in the “the other” case that you are referring to. And second, I didn’t know it was that easy to do it accidentally so I thought that someone did it intentionally.
WesterosBarbie : Haha yeah, well, that would have been fair enough! 22 lbs per week would have been insane! But looking at my computer history I that wasn’t the case. Oh well I hope that it was a mistake and that whoever did it won’t do it if I try to start a new one! 😀
littlepinkpointes : Yeah, Ive seen it too! It seems so easy thinking about it, but it’s soooo haaard when you are about to do it yourself. It is not the first time ive felt “determined”, lol, in some way I always forget that I was determined in a few days, as motivation let’s me down… haha. that’s why I thought a thread might help me feel motivated if I use it as a blog and I can share my progress with others! 🙂
I will give it a new shot! I think you should repost what you posted too, and hopefully that thread will stay up, cause that was a really interesting subject! 😀 I’d like to hear more about it since it seems to differ a bit from how they are in Sweden from how they are in America! May I ask where you are from? 😀
becks90 : Ah, that is probably the case! I’ll make a new post in a while, hopefully that one will stay untouched by spam-markerers! 🙂 Thank you for your cheering! <3

If it happened less than a minute after you posted, it’s probably far more likely that the board has an automated SPAM filter that is monitoring keywords than it is a human being just deciding they didn’t like your post and you needing to call them out for it. In fact, there have been many people posting about this same issue over the last few weeks and I believe in one of the most recent ones one of the board moderators suggested such a thing. You may want to take it up with one of them or the WB support board instead.
ETA: Also, on most other boards similar to this format – flagging a post doesn’t immediately remove it. It just alerts a moderator to review it. Then the moderator has to hide/review/delete it. So unless the moderators are just extremely bored and pouncing on requests the minute they come through, that also points to it being a automated SPAM removal feature. On a post about weight loss, depending on the words you used and what you were posting about (say supplements), I could very easily see how a SPAM filter might assume you were a trying to sell something.

WesterosBarbie : it’s hard to accidentally flag posts on here, because in order to flag something you have to: hit the flag, type text, and hit enter. Flags without text are not submitted. So if you think you’ve flagged people on accident, take heart: it’s very unlikely.

bibilicious : Hello! Our system sometimes accidentally marks posts as spam as it is doing its job filtering out real spam from the boards. Weddingbee users do not have the ability to mark posts as spam.
