I love my princess cut and always preferred them over round regardless if they don’t typically sparkle as much… Because face it they all sparkle … I always see round cut stones and it makes me kinda of second guess myself because they look so beautiful in pictures but as the end of the day when I actually try one on it just doesn’t sit well with me but I ALWAYS think what if… Which technically I love every stape but when it’s specifically has a larger table than the proper “ideal” cut of any stone which is why I chose my princess cut specifically.. I guess maybe I just haven seen a round stone with a table that fits my preference .. Same goes for cushions and ovals
So all my princess lovers why do you like princess the most and help me stop thinking “what if”

I love geometric shapes and lots of angles. Round was too … soft? … for me. I might have been happy with a cushion cut, but even those round edges were too much for me.

Hi there! I have a combination of rounds and princess cuts, but I LOVE the princess cuts. I love the clean lines and it’s “different” than most rings out there because I think most people prefer round cuts. I like to be a bit different :o)
Here’s mine: (sorry about my terribly grown out nails back then–yuck! Needed a fill!)

I chose a radiant cut which is elongated (so a rectangle but some radiants are square). I second guessed myself a few times. I love how not many people own rectangle radiant cuts. I get so many compliments on it because it’s different, simple and ME!

I love my princess and the reason that I got it is because hubby and I when we talked about getting married 15 years ago we liked that the princesses were different and we are not a traditional couple. I have never been sick of the princess cut in all these years but have have wanted to add a halo.
So here is my pretty.

@Diamond88: I LOVE squares and rectangles. I have no idea why. Just do. SO I love princesses. 🙂
Here is a picture of a moissanite I got just to try. Unfortunately, this exact ring had issues. I sent it back to MoissaniteCo and was just going to exchange. However, I had the weirdest change of mind. I am now RIGHT NOW waiting for the FedEx guy to get here. I special ordered my own request with a cushion cut and have waited 3 agonizing weeks for it. LOL!!!! Anyway, I hope I love the cushion. Giving you this picture to ensure you that you LOVE princesses!!!!

The first ring is the diamond band. Next is the PRINCESS 1.7 Moissanite I sent back. Third is a 2ct white gold round CZ. I bought it years ago to see if I would like round. I did not. The last one is my diamond ring. It has four .20 rectangle diamonds tension mounted together to form one 7 x 5mm 1ct equivalent radiant. It’s in yellow gold w/ princess channel sets.

@Diamond88: This is kind of difficult for me to answer because I love all the diamond shapes but can only commit to either a round or princess… I have a princess cut because for some reason I am just drawn to it and always have been. I feel it gives me just that little bit of uniqueness without going overboard and is still classic and timeless to me. I love rounds also but there is just something about princess… It makes it easy that my mom has a nice round diamond solitaire I can wear whenever if I wanted. I am actually not a fan of modern things and are drawn to more vintage/ older things but for some reason the princess lures me in. I just love my princess… here she is….

Around here princess is way more common than round especially in my age group but when I worked in a jewelry store I was surprised at how many people considered solitaires to be “boring” they really weren’t common… I do feel princess cuts are more modern feeling because technically they are a more modern cut…. And I do prefer angles and geometric shapes over flowy curves and circular shapes … If I didn’t come across the amazing deal we did I could totally see myself choosing a square radiant instead especially because they are much less common and not many people have ever even heard of them … Who knows maybe some day 😉 I am a jeweler and collect gems and want everything in every shape !!! but I am a little diamond crazy 😡 I get it from my mom haha
Thanks everyone for your input 🙂 I know in the end I’ll love my ring forever

I tried on all sorts of shapes and sizes and in the end picked a 1ct princess cut. It just looked and felt the most right. LOL.
