Sorry, stupid post. I just have to let out a bit of frustration. I love the BHLDN Tamsin and Vivienne gowns, but absolutely cannot afford them full price. Since it seems like they’re from the Spring/Summer collection, I thought that by now one of them would have gone on sale. It is agony to wait since I wear a popular size, and I will need the dress in a few short months. Does anyone know when BHLDN gowns typically go on sale?

I have no idea about sales but have you looked for pre-owned ones? You may be able to find something on preownedweddingdresses.com or tradsey.

Unfortunately, none are available pre-owned. And seeing the pricing for a lot of BHLDN pre-owned gowns, it’s sometimes more than a brand new gown on sale. So I don’t think it is worth it since the gown might have a defect or too much alteration.

Because those are from the current spring/summer collection, I don’t think they would go on sale until the new S/S collection comes out. Like, a bunch of their dresses from S/S 2013 went on sale just before these came out. You could probably just call BHLDN and ask, they’re pretty nice.
Look for some preowned ones, you can also try the website OnceWed.

Thanks! That is not good news, but I will keep my fingers crossed and wait.

What about http://www.borrowingmagnolia.com they do not have those exact dresses but some similar ones.

Thanks for the site. They have some pretty dresses. But I find it to be rather expensive for renting a dress for one day.
I also don’t have much tolerance for trying on other wedding dresses since I don’t like traditionally white wedding dresses. And the thought of going to bridal salons and dealing with the snotty attitude of “What you DONT want to spend $3k on a dress??” makes me want to break out in hives (Yes, this has happened when I called and they ALWAYS say go to David’s Bridal, which isn’t my style). I just feel like they’re really taking advantage of women’s big day. That’s what I liked about BHLDN. Very informal and easy attitude and pricing is transparent. I am just going to wait for a sale.

The dress Annabelle from BHLDN was on sale but NOT the colours blush and ivory!! I was so happy when the sale started and the dress was on sale but when I was ordering it, it was full price in ivory….oh well 🙁

I also love the look of the BHLDN dresses and second OMGMrsW2B: ‘s suggestion to call and inquire. I didn’t use David’s Bridal (although my sister bought her dress from there) – I went to another boutique that had dresses between $700-$5,000. They weren’t at all snooty about looking in my $1,200 and under range. You might want to look around for some other boutiques too!

Also, it’s good to remember BHLDN is the store that carries different designers. The dresses you like are Catherine Deane. Maybe a search of her name would help? Watters lower end collection wtoo and love Marley have some styles that are similar to these designers. Might be worth a look.

Vivienne is on sale!!
I am wearing a BHLDN Francine gown for my wedding. I had some structure put into it and have final fitting in 2 weeks. I bought it used with tags and paid nearly the full price. It had never even been tried on.
