Hey! This might sound stupid, but does anyone know of any super great ways to lose weight using the Wii Fit? =D

Just wondering. =) I bike to/from my work, and go for long walks in the ravine by our house with my mom, and we have a mini trampoline in the basement that I can jog on (I can't stand jogging on pavement!), but we just bought a Wii Fit and I wanted to know if anyone had any advice on what exercises are best?

    Thanks Hive! =)

I did really well at first using the wii fit, but then I got tired of it and haven't used it a whole lot.  Today, however, I broke down and bought the new EA Active and am loving it so far.  I especially like that I can put together my own workout from a ton of different options!  Even their sports ones are pretty good.  I especially like the boxing, what a sweatmaker! I have yet to start the 30 day challenge on it, I'm waiting until I get a few more days of either the preset workouts or ones I do so I'm more comfortable with it all, but so far I definitely recommend it!  Plus, it can be used with the balance board!

My favorite thing to do on Wii Fit is definitely the yoga poses. I like how it measures your balance--it really forces you to concentrate on being still and holding the poses correctly. I usually do feel nice and stretched out when I'm done. I was going to caution you that I would definitely not use it as my sole means of working out, because I really don't feel like it burns that many calories, but it sounds like you're getting in a lot of other exercise already.

I love our Wii Fit!  I think the best feature is the weight/goal tracker.  If you are diligent about wieghing yourself every day, it is super motivating to see how much closer you are to your weight loss goal.

I also really love the aerobic and strength exercises.  The strength exercises are sometimes hard, but I always feel like a champ when I can power through to the end.  And the aerobic exercises (like step aerobics) are super fun.

I have Wii Fit and I loved it, still do, but I found that I couldn't stick with it for more than a couple weeks at a time. I loved  the yoga poses and hula hoop game! I do highly recommend EA Sports Active for the Wii, I'm currently doing the 30 day challenge (also mixed with some healthy dieting) and I've been doing it 2 weeks tomorrow and I've already lost some weight. That thing kicks my butt everytime I workout and it mixes it up everyday with a different set of workouts, also give you break days so your muscles get a break. I suggest mixing a bit of both EA Sports Active and Wii Fit and develop a really good workout!

Boxing! And yoga...I think some of the strength training ones are difficult.

When i first got the wii fit i was like OMGosh!! loving it. After awhile, about a month or two, i got bored and tired of using it so i stopped. My fh bought the wii active and it's really amazing on how much of a workout you actually get on it! Every time i go and do a workout i am drenched in sweat after and the following days i'm feeling the workout in my body! I tend to get very bored with working out. I have like 1000 workout dvds, treadmill, and wii. I like to change up my workouts every now and then. If your like me, get the wii active! It's worth it! :)

To be honest, I dont feel like Ive lost any weight on the wii fit, but it does take my breath away sometimes (sadly from the hula hoop most of the time!)  It is alot of fun and I dont feel like I am really working out which is a plus

Definitely boxing! I get so into it that my face is red and I'm out of breath by the end. That and the hula hoop...gets me every time!

Boxing will definitely work you out!  And, I've found that if I get really pumped about the aerobics, I can break a sweat.
