Hi there. I had a great friend get married there 3 years ago. It was PERFECT. Beautiful setting and great owners (super friendly). They made all of the guests feel like we were home. Good luck!!!
Hi! I know that I'm so late posting this (I've just found the Wedding Bee today!) but wanted to let you know that I'm getting married at Wild Basin exactly two months from today (July 12th 2009)! We're using the meadow and the downstairs reception room.
We looked at a TON of sites, and the second we walked into the lodge there we *knew* that was it. It was such an easy decision for us!
You have chosen an AWESOME place for your wedding - the owner and staff are incredible and the place is just gorgeous. If you haven't had the food yet, it's nothing short of incredible (especially for the price). They really allow you (even encourage) you to decorate and make it your own.

@MeadowBride: LOVE your username!! We're also using the meadow and the downstairs room (St. Vrain room maybe?). Same with us, we knew immediately when we walked in. I walked down the aisle out in the meadow and that sold me, if there was any doubt. I couldn't believe how helpful Denice and the staff were. I haven't tried the food yet, but can't wait. I'd love to hear how the rest of your planning and the actual wedding day go.

HI there! My best friend Sonja got married there 4 years ago and I STILL cant say enough nice things about the location, the service and the staff. Congrats on picking one of the best places in Colorado. Funny, that was the wedding made me become a florist full time!! Good luck and I cant wait to hear about your planning.

Oh wow! This just bubbled up. I was the MOH in my friends' wedding there! It was fabulous! We went up for the tasting a little while before, and the owner gave me a hug! They are such a sweet couple who runs the place. You will LOVE it!
I'm so glad to read such nice things about the lodge. I can't get enough of the sweet staff up there. :)

Whenever my deposit gets over there, I will have booked Wild Basin Lodge for my 2010 wedding. I fell in love with the location, the quietness, the privacy, the meadow, and the river when I visited. It's exactly what Mr. Kat and I were picturing for our perfect wedding. I'd love to hear from anyone who has attended a wedding there or may be considering it for her own. I can't wait to start planning!
