It looks like there is too much fabric can she dart it or take it in?bi like the straight across neckline better.

@Southernpecan13:  It looks to me that the straps are almost too tight. You can try a sticky bra… the one I have doesn’t offer much lift, though!

@Southernpecan13:  A couple things that popped into my head were the neckline being too high. Perhaps if it could be a tad lower that would help. I think the sticky bra will help to add some shape and that may put your mind at ease

I agree with the PP that the neckline looks too high–your bust should be/is lower than that. And as far as a sticky bra? They don’t stay in place. If you start to perspire at all, your sticky bra will end up down by your belly button! I’d get the straps lengthened, and the bust taken in just slightly for a much more flattering fit!

wow i really love the back! I think the sticky bra is worth a shot. But I think it looks like the straps need to be let out so the dress can come down a little on the bust.

Yup, the neckline is too high. I’m not sure why you couldn’t do cups — you don’t want truly sheer fabric over your boobs, right, so it can’t be THAT sheer. If she’s worried about it looking too opaque, maybe cups that match your skin tone, in the same way that the “sticky bra” would?

@Southernpecan13:  A seamstress should be able to fit the dress to your body. I agree with a pp that it looks like she has shortened the straps too mich, hiking the whole bodice up too high. It doesn’t look like your bust is centered in the bust of the dress.

I don’t see how there would be any difference in visibility between sewn in cups and a stick on bra. If the cups are properly sewn to just the underlayer of the dress , they will not show. They are not meant to be stitched to the outer fabric. Have you tried the dress on with a pair of cups just placed in the bodice to see what it looks like?

I would also suggest trying a pair of chicken cutlets in the bottom of the cups to help fill out the bodice of the dress.

As a pro in the industry, I can tell you this:

1. The straps are too short.

2. The gown is sitting incorrectly in the hips, shifting the entire bodice up into an awkward position.

3. The sweetheart neckline should be cut rather than “pinched”. The pinch is throwing the bust darts off

4. The cups can be concealed by adding a simple “half” lining into the bodice.

good luck!

Personally I prefer the neckline on the second photo, but that’s just my personal preference.  It seems to add the illusion of a bigger bust (I would LOVE to have that problem by the way, but I digress.)  Don’t worry too much…you look beautiful in it either way 🙂
