I don't think it will look good. Maybe try to get self tie chair covers?
Never tried it, but even if they technically fit, they're see through because the chair underneath is beautiful if it's a chivari. With a regular folding chair, you might still be able to see it underneath.
folding chairs usually have a more rounded back, so the cover won't fit. well, it might technically fit, but it will bunch up and look strange and messy.

I know it seems like a silly question because the name in it selfs proves that they ARE only for chiavari chairs but can they fit? The chair covers that go over the regular folding chairs are sooo odd looking and I really don't like them. My only option is leaving them bare [blah], with only sashes [meh] or try to get those pretty chiffon chair covers for the already beautiful chiavari chairs.......BUT will they fit!! I probably going to buy one just to try it. But maybe some one here can save me the trouble. So I ask:
has anyone actually tried putting on a chiavari chair cover on a folding chair?
