If you let him climb the tree in the basement, it’s a cinch he’s going to do the same thing when it is upstairs.

I have 3 cats & 1 dog. They do mess with the tree & in 2010 actually knocked it over. But yes, you can put up a tree. It takes work sometimes running them off several times, but its worth it to me. 🙂

@Pinkmoon:  Yea, you should be fine! 🙂 The first week he may seem very interested. But as time goes by its just another thing there (like a chair) to them & not as fascinating anymore.
