So….I tried on many dresses back in January for my October 1, 2011 wedding. At the end of January I found what I believe to be THE DRESS – Maggie Sottero Karena Royale, see picture. I am incapable of making snap decisions so I left the salon, without purchasing, extremely confident I had found my dress and just needed to go back and purchase it. I am an auditor which means that I lose the ability to do anything for my personal life the entire month of February. It is now March and I have an appointment to go back and try on the dress again this Saturday except I am TERRIFIED I wont have the same feelings…
Has anyone else had extended periods away from their dress? Changed your mind? Fell in love all over again? I’m super nervous…

I changed my mind numerous times. I bought 3 or 4 dresses and cancelled all of those sales the same day. I finally ordered one and I go back and forth between loving it and not. My first fitting is Friday and there are some changes I plan to have made to it (change to sweetheart neckline and corset back) and I think that’ll solve it. Either way, I know once I put it on the day of the wedding I’ll be happy.

I think if you try it on again and still love it, it’s the one. Sometimes being an analytical person makes dress shopping difficult.
I never had that “OMG OMG YES” moment when I put my dress on. I was more like a “Yes, this is good…ok…right…lemme think about it…yes…ok…why not”. There was no crying. The dress was what I was looking for, almost within budget, and I loved the back. Since purchasing my dress I have “fallen in love” with many pictures of other dresses, but if I really sit down and think about it my dress does things for me those probably wont and I’m not looking else where.
I think the dress is lovely. Its hard to see the front in the picture (because its in the mirror), but it gives you great shape. I’d be happy if you chose it!

Fear not. I tried mine on and bought it the same day because I live outside of the USA. I didn’t get to see it or try it on again until 6 months later at my first fitting.
First fitting blew my mind. I was SO IN LOVE :o)

Oooooh I had so many second thoughts! I even thought about cancelling, exchanging, selling, etc, etc. But when they called me and told me my dress was here, when I tried it on again and in my size, I fell completely in love all over again.

I tried my dress on and bought it (and got my initial alterations!) the same day. I didn’t see the dress again for 3 months. I had fear pangs that when I put it back on I wouldn’t love it like I did initially or it wouldn’t WOW me anymore. I saw dresses online and wondered what they looked like on me. I had serious anxiety! Then my dress came. I put it on and fell in love all over again. I don’t doubt myself anymore. You may find that you feel the same way!
