So, I have been going back and forth on this and wanted your thoughts before I went back to my florist yet again (poor, wonderful lady).
Below is my inspriational bouquet and my dress (whoa – sorry so big!). The dress is ivory lace over light gold satin and I had the bow removed. I love the sahara roses, fern shoots and the greenery in the bouquet and will be keeping all of that. My question comes down to the white flowers – they are a type of tulip. I think they are very pretty, but I am worried that a) they are too white for my dress and b) that they will be closed by the time our evening ceremony starts. I have also been thinking about changing out the tulip for an off-white/ivory ranunculus flower.
Since we are not having a wedding party, we are only having a bridal bouquet and bout.
What do you think??

Its really hard to see what white flowers you are talking about from that picture. I think that the roses if they are going to be that color then you should be fine. I would make sure your florist knows that your dress is not white and even though the bouquet can have some white, you want to make sure there is a variety of shades of white / ivory.

I think the colors of the bouquet will look gorgeous with your dress. The cream colored roses are going to compliment the sash beautifully!
Also, tulips typically open in warmer weather, as opposed to closing. If you’re worried about them opening and eventually drooping (tulips need lots of water!), keep them in a vase in a fridge up until your wedding. The water will keep them hydrated and the cool temperature will keep the tulips from opening for an hour or two.

Tulips look way better closed! When they open, the petals start to droop and those ugly black stems they have start to show. So I wouldn’t worry about that aspect of it. If you are worried that they will be too white, then ask you florist to use ivory rather than white. (Your dress is amazing, by the way…)

Wow! I’ve never seen 100% agreement on any poll! Congrats!
