    @ApocalypseCow:  Maybe you could buy a pair of jewel-covered hair barrettes? Gluing jewels onto the metal likely will drive you crazy, they’ll probably fall off.

    @ApocalypseCow:  No no no. Do not try to cover the gold with jewels, ribbon etc.  It will be a bulky mess. Just cut whatever attaches the gold bits- thread, glue etc, and put something in it’s place.

    Instead of covering them with jewels you could try using nail polish to change the color. Maybe find a polish the same colod as the shoe and paint them so they blend in? I’m not a huge fan of the glitzy glittery shoe trend, but I undestand why some ladies like it.
