My fiance found this gorgeous lodge that we both love. The price is right and everything is just perfect. Besides the fact that we have to have everything cleaned up and out by 10:30.
So here’s what I’m thinking. The ceremony, which is at the same location, will be at about 3:00 or 3:30. The ceremony will last about 30 minutes, then pictures and people can walk around and mingle. I feel like 4:00 is too early for dinner, so people can snack on appetizers and whatnot. Then dinner at 5:00. We’ll cut the cake at 6:00ish. And then dancing and whatnot from then to 9pm.
I kind of like the idea of a little reception, but I don’t want people to get bored. The plan won’t be for people to get drunk..we’re providing all of the alcohol and we want to have enough so people can loosen up and have a good time, but we will strongly discourage overdrinking or leaving the reception drunk.
Like I said, my biggest worry is boredom and that our reception is going to be too short.
