I am having the hardest time fitting silver into the wedding. I will be doing Ivory tablecloths and chair covers with purple napkins and sashes. The only places I’ve put in silver are ribbon around the centerpieces and silver favor boxes.
I was thinking of making the cake table silver w/purple flower petals but I’m just not sure. Here is what I have in mind:

Oh my! If it’s only one table I think it will look nice! At first I thought you wanted to put those on EVERY table 🙂

I think that it will be fine on the cake table. If you put it on every table I would have to tell you to not do it

I think it’s beautiful. You should totally do it! I was having a hard time working in my accent color too, so I’m having my BM’s wear hat color and then I’m just adding it in bits and pieces (favor boxes, lettering on programs…etc.). I think that will really make your cake table pop and with the purple petals it will look awesome! I bought petals from koyalwholesale.com, they have every color including purple and they are beautiful. They’re a great price and come in bulk. I’ve bought tons from them. Check it out.

I think it’s fine. What we did was guest tables were in turquoise pintuck tablecloths with ivory chair covers and napkins, and made the B&G table, guest book/placecards, outdoor hi-top tables in ivory tablecloths to spread the color around the room. The silver accent was minimal but was on the napkin rings and centerpieces. Maybe you can do that linen on the special tables like the cake, gift and placecard .

I agree that it would be awesome for the cake table!
Also, I agree that getting such an unusual color to mix in with the standard colors is difficult.
My suggestion for working more silver in (if you really want to) is by using it like the others suggested, and also by using it for any candle holders you might have or something like that. Silver picture frames would also be a good way of including it.

I added a poll. Thanks for your suggestions for accenting the silver.
