I don’t think that is considered two tone. A lot of times when you put a diamond on a yellow gold band they make the prongs out of white gold. It makes the diamond stand out more and you really don’t see the two different colors of gold.

@missmouse1:  I’m pretty sure white gold is typically used for prongs because it ensures that the diamond looks white, even if the rest of the ring is yellow gold.  Very pretty choice BTW!

I wanted to see a sample of this setting through my local jeweler and all that was available was a yellow gold sample (I’m getting this is white gold)– so you’re lucky because I have pictures of a yellow gold setting with white gold prongs! In regards to PP, my jeweler also told me that yellow gold settings (almost) always have white gold prongs because otherwise it’ll make the diamond appear yellower!

Mine doesn’t have pavé side stones, it has baguettes, but the setting is all yellow gold and the prongs are white.   I think having yellow gold prongs makes the stone look yellow, that’s why they do them in white?  I think?  Don’t quote me on that, haha, I’m sure  I read that somewhere.

@missmouse1:  It’s my diamond in the sample setting– it’s 1.2ct.

@pineapplez17:  Yes! I am getting it in white gold and that is already my diamond in the sample setting above. I am so excited!
