I am having a hard time coming up with our colors. Our venue is a log cabin on top of a mountain over-looking a vineyard. I was going to do pink and white but it just seems to baby shower-ish. I was wondering if just white with burlathop accents would be okay or would it be to plain? The boys will be wearing camo vests with their suits and I would like to have my girls in a pale pink…is white decor/burlap the way to go…or is this going to be a hot mess?

I think if you use textures to add visual interest it could look really nice. Maybe use a bit of canvas/other natural beige fabrics so there’s in-between shades, not just 2.

i think you should do pink and pops of another color like yellow or something

My colors are white/silver. I think white can look lovely if you use lots of textures to add visual interest. It also sounds like you will have a beautiful backdrop. So white wont be too overwhelming.

Not at all, I’ve always thought all white weddings have looked rathe elegant.

@bordercollie: I think it’d be fine, however you may want to consider having pale pink flowers that match the dresses as a decoration, and possibly use a sage or some other green accent, like ribbons, to tie-in the camo look too. That way it’s still your neutral tones, with soft accents of the light pink/green. 🙂

I think it’s a great idea. A white wedding will look elegant and classic. It will look especially wonderful against the landscape.

Thank you everyone for your repsonses! I either envisioned it looking very beautiful or very awful and needed some opinions. I love the idea of adding in some pale pink and green accents a well. I am pretty sure I am going to use babys breath in a simple vase as the centerpieces, so that will add some green. Maybe I can incorporate pink in the favors?

I would do a light peachy pink WITH white! And have the girls then wear the peachier color!
