    @idolina:  I think it would work beautifully!! It seems very high class and lovely to me! Wine and boats! Whats not to like!

    @idolina:  I think it will be lovely, and similar to my own vision!. Just make sure you put some thought into how you will be transporting big wine barrels to the marina. Our wedding is at a winery and I’m lucky enough to have all of that on site, but just make sure you think about the logistics before you lock yourself in!

    I’m gonna be a debbie downer & say that, for one, I dislike the marina if you want an honest opinion. & secondly, I don’t think the wine would really fit it.

    I see your inspiration pics & they see a lot more on the natural & organic side, which is perfect for a wine theme. I don’t think the marina has that same feel at all.

    It is great and refreshing.  I say “Wine Knot” – as is tying the knot and bring in the nautical/marina too.  Vinyard is nice but when you make something your own by blending, it can me more “you” as a couple.  And the barrels are very wine and nautical together.  I like seeing a bride be creative instead following cookie cutter trends.

    @idolina:  Yeah, that’s a beautiful reception space!

    I think maybe your FI is trying to keep thing practical by keeping everything at one location (sound like something my husband would have done in that situation).

    Maybe once he sees the vinyard & how happy it makes you (hopefully!), he will be on board with it.

    @idolina:  At the winery, I’m being charged $10 a wine barrel to use as decor, but they already have them handy so there is no delivery issue in terms of pricing.

    I think wine could be a component of a theme that fits that venue, but I think the wine barrels would look very out of place if that’s a big part of the aesthetic you’re after.

    it looks pretty it will all be based on the lil touched you add you will need to add more to it then a vinyard would need to make it wine themeed but if you get the right touches you could totally make it have that vibe you want 🙂 get creative have fun and make it what you want
