Hi fellow bees! This is my first post though I’ve been following this site for a few years (maybe because I’m a dreamer – I’ve been with the same guy for 7 years, but now an engagement is finally official)! i really struggled with how to ask my bridesmaids to be bridesmaids. Every idea on Pinterest or Etsy seems so overused but I wanted to come up with something unique. here is what I did… I created a vase with a flower… The flower is a hair clip attached to a piece of paper which made the stem. I rolled the paper to act as the stem after writing a handwritten message inside. I embellished the jar with a couple feathers and a cute little diamond ring necklace I picked up at Forever 21 for 1.80 each. These fit my early 1930’s speakeasy theme perfectly! I had originally been asked by a few of the girls (I have 9 bridesmaids!!!) if the flower was something they would be wearing in the wedding and while this is a good idea, I don’t want flapper bridesmaids to match (as they wouldn’t have likely wore the same thing as someone else to an event back then). However, this could be useful in more modern/traditional wedding styles. I wanted to to share this unique idea in case anyone else wants to take advantage of it with their own personal twist!
