Will you embrace any of these trends?

@MissBettsy:  I don’t know. Most of these seem either unnecessary, silly, or like they will make the bride appear to be trying too hard. The charging station might be kind of cool, though.

@MissBettsy:  I won’t be embracing any of these ‘trends’ (are they seriously trending???), but I had a good laugh reading the article. Love the tongue-in-cheek humour of the author!

The charging station isn’t a bad idea, actually. On the other hand, it would take guests away from participating in your day, at least until they charge their phones. No thanks.

I don’t like the other ideas.

I don’t think any of those are trends. I think they are just the most “out there” ideas the writer could find to write this article.

On the other hand, we do have Bees who are wearing what some might consider outrageous stacks of rings.

Yeah, I call bullshit on the use of the word “trends” in this article. But it did make me super curious about the wedding cake. For those interested… that chandelier in the background? Yeah… that’s her cake.

Kaley Cuoco from Big Band Theory had a suspended wedding cake. It looks pretty awesome. I wouldn’t do it though, seems like too much work..lol

I absolutely adore chandeliers, so the idea of a chandelier wedding cake makes me happy.

@MissBettsy:  These can’t be as common as this writer makes them seem…The phone charging stations are smart and we had two places set up for guest to charge their devices 🙂

Everything else is silly to me now and would have been silly to me before

@MexiPino:  How would you cut and serve that…how would it even stay on? So strange but so curious!

I don’t see myself using any of those trends. I’m tempted to request a mostly unplugged wedding (with exceptions if someone wants to snap a picture).

@MexiPino:  How in the world was that cake even cut? Surprised

Ha!  Those are more like a list of wedding details that personally annoy the writer.  I like this list from the knot of more realistic wedding trends for 2014

http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-themes/choosing-wedding-themes/articles/2014-wedding-trends.aspx

I have to say I’m doing a lot of the things on that list, and I’m not even sorry!  My woodland wedding with bright colors and cascading bouquet will be an all-night party to remember!
