I wanted to save my wedding dress. I know that my future daughter (who isn't born yet) probably won't be as petite as I am but I want to show her the dress some day. I'm curious to know what is the fun part about trashing your wedding dress and why is this a fad?
I have seen some beautiful pictures of ladies diving into water with their dresses. I might consider doing it with all my best friends once we have all gotten married, if they are into that sort of thing.
No way! I'm going to try to sell it after the wedding, and I don't want to make cleaning any more difficult than it already is!
I won't be doing it. I can't imagine trashing my dress that I spent endless hours looking for and worrying about.
I would like to do some unusual shots out and around downtown Phoenix, but nothing that will wear/tear/soil the dress beyond a normal dry cleaning.
no way..i couldn't see myself doing that..after all the money spent, and sentimental value in it..i just couldn't bring myself to trash it..

Yes I am defenetly doing a TRASH THE DRESS PHOTO SHOOT!!!!!!
Specially since Im in the Wedding Photography business, there is no way I WONT lol
They're just so Unique and Beautiful. I think that having the memory of your dress in these gorgeous portraits is much of a better memory to keep than to have the memory of your dress just stored in a box never to be worn again. You can continue to enjoy your dress again after the wedding day to have fun with the photoshoot and you can show your dress to everyone in the pictures and wont be able to show your dress to anybody all that easily being stored lol.
heres some examples to inspire u to do it

I love the idea but I dunno it's hard to say...On one hand I love the pictures and what a cool idea but on the other my daughter not that she will like my dress in 20 something years I want her to have it ..not to mention thats a lot of money to wreck the dress
Nope. Plan on donating the dress to charity after the wedding (great tax write-off potential).
Yes yes yes! I plan to milk every thread of my two dresses-- and the best way to do that? I will take tons of pics! hahaha I'm not gonna go crazy though, I should be able to clean them after. No paints, mud or anything crazy
Nope! I'm saving it because I'm too sentimental to let go of it!
That's kind of like throwing away money. I hope I can sell it.
I really do love the girl on the pool table and in the pool, and I would def do it if I had another, less expensive reception dress.
I'm not going to trash my dress. How could I???
I'll try to resell it
There needs to be an other option! I had dress regret so I bought another dress. I'm trying to sell the first one but if it doesn't go, I'm doing a trash the dress session in it. A REAL trash the dress with paint.
We're doing ours the day after our wedding. I don't plan on ripping it or setting it on fire but I want to do some really cool shit in it like jump on a surf board and take a wave in, roll around in the wet sand...I think the photos come out beautifully, so I can't resist to have those moments captured after we've been married, being silly and carefree.
It falls under the category of "if I won the lottery." I love love love TTD shoots, and I know it's possible to do them in a way that doesn't destroy the dress. I believe in reusing as much as possible so it is important to me to pass on my dress to another bride if I can do so. Also I don't feel like trying to budget for a TTD session after doing e-pics, boudoir, bridal, and the wedding day.
This is something that I have wanted to do since the first time I heard of it. It just makes amazing pictures and, to me, the atr will get a lot more enjoyment hanging on the wall than the dress will all perfectly stored hanging in the closet.
I used this as a negotiation point with my photog, too. He's dying to do a great TTD session, so I was able to talk him down (30%!) by promising this to him. I know it will be a blast.
Of course my husband will wear a Goodwill suit, not a good one - we wouldn't want to ruin his nice clothes! Oh, wait... haha.
I really, really want to, but I don't think I can bear to do it. I love my dress too much. I may buy a cheap thrift store one and do it though.
I'm definitely not. I plan to save and eventually turn it into a christening gown and a communion dress.
No, it was too much for me to just ruin or even keep. Since I didn't have to hem it from the bottom, I'm going to try to re-sell afterwards.

Hi Bees!
I'm just wondering how many of you plan on trashing your dress after your wedding? It's seems to be a big fad lately, but I don't think that I could do it! How about you?
