Hahaha! No, I think we are going to end up looking like Mr. & Mrs. Candycorn!
We originally wanted to, but had to let go of that with some of the other chaos going on. We have a friend that is a ballroom teacher who may show us a few moves between now and then. it could be scary...
If we have the money around then it will be nice to take lessons, other wise we will just wing it.
No, we aren't going to take dance lessons. We're just going to do a simple slow dance with a couple of twirls thrown in here and there. However, my dad and I are hoping to surprise everyone with something a little different!! :)
We're going to spin slowly in small circles, high-school dance style. LOL, hopefully it'l go by quickly!
We are taking lessons ... starting soon. I know ... we're late. We have 15 lessons we bought months ago. Lol. I saw the Ugly Truth .... it had the hottest dance ... think salsa and that's what I'd love to learn.
Nope, did the 8th grade sway. Should have taken dance lessons, or at least, practiced a bit beforehand! We felt kind of embarassed being up there dancing. I guess we didn't get into the moment! But, we're just not dancing in front of people kind of people (we were the kind of people that SHOULD have taken dance lessons)!
We took lessons and really just wanted a few choreographed moves and to learn basic steps. Our dance looked like the whole thing was choreographed but it was really just 4 choreographed bitS with other stuff in between. I hope it wowed, alot of guests said it was great and my grandma said it was the best pat of the wedding besides the ceremony. If anyone wants to see it it's at http://fallon06202009.shutterfly.com on the bottom of the main page :)
Gotta get signed up for those soon! Nothing choreographed, just dance lessons so we don't look totally lame. You see, I have this problem with wanting to lead all the time...
I would love to learn how to do a downscaled SYTYCD Vienese Waltz for my first dance - but I just don't think the funds will be there
We want to do something fun because halloween is a week after our wedding so we were thinking about dancing to a "typical first dance song" and then finding some fun halloween song and get jiggy and we will have some fun props!
Well, we're pretty awesome in general, so probably. ;)
We're not having a "real" first dance as of right now, but since our band that we hope to get is FANTASTIC, we'll probably be cutting a rug all night.
i love to dance! fiance....notsomuch. we are going to have some lessons to make him more comfortable and probably have some choreographed moves in there.
Nope. No one will be wowed. The ceremony itself will be stressful enough with my uncoordinated self having to learn a dance routine too.
We won't be taking anyone's breath away with our dance moves. We might take classes but not for our first dance, but maybe to work on our two-steppin'.
I have a DVD and closer to the wedding we are taking a few classes.
I would LOVE to wow, atleast a little bit ;)
ohhh YEA we should take lessons... add that to the list- Gasp!
We are going to start with a traditional slow dance. Then we will break into a hip hop style dance. (Kind of like what you see on youtube.) My FI is a great dancer and I love watching him dance. He'll have to teach me some moves. I hope to really wow the crowd. I know they won't be expecting it.
we're not even engaged yet, but we've known forever that we want to do the tango from true lies... now we just gotta learn to tango!
We're taking lessons, but not to be super fancy or anything. Honestly the first dance is what is making FI the most nervous. He thinks the idea of people staring at us while we dance is just super stressful. And he thinks he can't dance at all. So we're taking them so he'll feel more comfortable!
Not taking lessons with FI, he wants to just relax and enjoy the moment instead of worrying about choreography. Dad on the other hand felt the opposite! He thinks he should be on Dancing With the Stars haha. We take a lesson once a week and he practices every day during lunch at the gym. It is very sweet.
We have to get lessons...we're both no good at dancing.
Nope, we'll be going middle-school style. I don't even think lessons would make me more comfortable for the whole first dance / everybody watching thing. I just want to get it over with!
We were planning on doing a dance remix but then I fell in love with a trumpet gown that they girl's at the dress shop dubbed "No Way Runaway" dress. I think movement is out!
I have no idea what we are going to do... considering the wedding is 11 days away and we still don't have a first dance song! We just don't have a song that is "us", well at least one that is appropriate for a first dance. We will probably just wing it and end up looking like middle school kids...

Anyone taking lessons for your first dance? Are you just learning some basic moves, or are you working on a choreographed routine?
