My Dad has never worn a wedding ring his whole life, married 42 years 🙂 But I think my FI will, unless work prevented it.

Yes. He’s not desperate to and if I said he didn’t have to he wouldn’t (not that I’m saying he HAS to, mind) but he knows I like them so he has picked one. I find jewellery on men rather attractive 😉

My Dad doesn’t wear one because of the work he does, which is very hands-on and it could be dangerous for him to do so.

Not only does my husband wear a wedding ring, he wore an ENGAGEMENT ring, too. He said, “Women begin to show their commitment the day they get engaged. I want to do that, too.” How could I refuse that?! Smile

@Lizabean:  We only went shopping for my ring the first time yesterday, but BF is already talking about the ring he wants to wear.  He really likes his dad’s ring, which I’ve never noticed.

Mine wears his!  It took him a few days to get used to it but now he says his finger feels naked when it’s not there.

I don’t think mine will. He has a ring that he picked, and he will slip it on his hand sometimes, but I don’t see him wearing it all the time.

He had better, I showed him some meteorite rings because I thought he would like the concept, and he has decided he liked one of the more expensive styles!

Lizabean

DH tries to take it off for work. but it means a lot to me for him to wear it. for work he leaves town a lot. goes port to port. ive actually thought about getting him something that will easily rip off. Hes afraid his ring will get him stuck during his rough job. His dad doesnt wear one. to me that odd since my dad had the same job as my DH and he always wore his. I think DH is getting used to it but ive had twice the amount of time to get used to wearing a ring all the time.

Yep; he may have been even more particular than I was with picking his out!

@Lizabean:  My FI currently wears his wedding ring, so I’m very confident that he’ll wear it.  However, neither of our fathers wear their wedding rings, ever.

@Lizabean:  My boyfriend wears a promise ring now, so I don’t see why he wouldn’t wear a wedding ring. I’ve only seen my boyfriend take his ring off twice since he put it on almost two years ago, and both times were because he was cooking.

I would like him to wear a watch as a symbol of our commitment.

@LibrarianTellsAll:  My FI did the same thing. I think it is sexy on him. I love that he wears it!

A man who wears a wedding band is sexy in general. It is the idea that they settled down and commited to a woman and that show that love by wearing that ring.
