My SO is getting the groceries today and I asked him to pick up tampons as well. Long story short, the nearest town is 30 minutes away and there’s no way I’m driving that far just to get tampons! He tried so hard to get out of it, but finally said he would (smart guy!).
How does your partner react if you ask him to get you tampons? Hopefully better than mine!

He might sigh, but doesn’t really mind. He says it’s obvious that they aren’t for him, so why not?

Of course, I don’t even see why this would be a problem.

My SO doesn’t mind getting me tampons or pads, as long as I tell him exactly what to get.
He’d be in way over his head if I just asked him to pick me up some tampons. lol

@allinoelle: Yes!! But I had an ex that would never! I think that’s so silly!

my FI doesn’t mind at all. all i have to do is send him a picture/description of what i need to make sure he gets the right stuff. 🙂

@allinoelle: Of course….we can’t have me bleeding all over the place can we? Since he does the shopping, he buys them

He doesn’t mind getting them for me.

I hardly ever ask him but he would, no questions asked.
The rare occasions he’s done this though he’s gotten the wrong ones even though I told him the brand/model I like. I think the tampon aisle is overwhelming to him. But it really doesn’t matter I still appreciated it and used them regardless.
I think it’s pretty immature for a grown adult to be embarrassed to buy tampons. I mean, are we really that concerned what the cashier at CVS/Walmart/wherever thinks? And what would they think? That someone has their period! OMG the horror.

I’ve sent him on emergency runs before. He’s not precisely thrilled, but does not resist.

He gets them so long as I send him a picture of the kind I want so he knows what to buy.

He will if I ask him does. And he brings a Hershey bar and a Monster with them.

He would, but I wouldn’t let him just because I don’t know what kind he might get, and I’m never specific enough!

When DH and I were first living together and I didn’t have a car or a means to get to the nearest grocery store. I used to give him a list and he’d pick up anything I asked him to. But instead of saying “I need Tampax Pearls Unscented Regular size”, I’d tell him tampax yellow box….it seemed to work. He’s even picked up my makeup for me…he usually asks the makeup lady to point him in the right direction.
A couple of weeks ago, I was buying some feminine products and a guy asked me for my help b/c he was shopping for his wife. He was soooo relieved that a woman was able to help him out. DH’s comment said “Was he wearing a wedding ring? B/c that’s a great way to pick up a girl!” Really DH??? Guys want to pick up a girl during that time of the month????

He’s not thrilled about it, but hell do it.
