I’ve been in the store while they’re doing them and I wasn’t so impressed.  But then again they’re geared towards people that don’t cook much .  Usually they use WS items exclusivly.

You might want to check out Whole Foods, the one by us has cooking classes. I’m not sure who teaches the WS cooking classes, but I’ve always been more impressed with the staff at Whole Foods.

I’ve actually been to the technique classes they’ve been offering over the past few weekends. I’ve enjoyed them, but they’re really more just demonstrations of how well the high-end cookware carried by W-S performs. We registered for a ton of stuff from that store, so it has been fun to see our future cookware and knives in action, but if you are looking for a real hands-on cooking class, this probably isn’t what you are loooking for!

Depends on the store, some are better than others.  But for the most part they are just demonstrations and hands on classes tend to be way more informative.
