I need some help with the amount of wine I should buy for my wedding. We are having about 100 guests, and I have no idea how much to buy. We are also having liquor and beer, along with a hot cocoa bar with coordinating liquors. So how many bottles of wine should I buy, if any? Also, since I don’t personally drink wine, any suggestions for the types I should buy?
Thanks in advance!

How many of your guests drink wine? Are all of your guests wine drinkers or just a small percentage (or none at all)? Have a few bottles on hand for anyone who wants to drink (no more than 6 or so) and then make sure that you are able to return any that are unopened for a refund.
None of our guests drink wine so we aren’t having any.

Hot cocoa bar? Brilliant idea!
Try using a website to calculate how much you’ll need. I found this one just by googling, but I’m sure there are more out there. It will break it down by the number of guests, and how much of various beverages you should buy.

For 100 guests (same as ours!) you should get two cases of wine. A case contains 12 bottles. We went with a case of red and a case of white. We actually ended up getting a third case of a white dessert wine at the winery, just because it was so yummy…heh

I would buy more than 2 cases of wine, that doesn’t sound like enough to me for 100 people. I would buy the wine from somewhere where you can return unopened bottles. How about 3 cases?

@QBbride:Mind you, we are also having champagne on the tables and a full bar. I guess it depends on how many people are wine drinkers, and who will be having just beer, or non-alcoholic drinks
