Hello ladies, My hubby and I are invited to a wine and cheese party for couples at the end of the month. We’re all bringing a bottle of wine and a type of cheese each. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a good pairing of both? Thanks!

Ice wine and a good blue cheese. I love the juxtaposition of the super sweet wine and the peppery bite of a blue cheese. mmmmm

I know Mozzarella and Sauvignon Blanc is a classic pairing.

Boxed wine and spray cheese in a can… Just kidding!!!
Can’t really help much. I say bring something you like. Do you and your husband have a favorite wine?

i am not much of a wine and cheese connoisseur but i love a strong old white cheddar, like a balderson 3 – 6 year old with a merlot.

Pinot Noir and Humbolt Fog (the supremiest fancy cheese)

lavenderstone: Fig flavored goat cheese to spread on crackers, or if you’ll have access to an oven while you’re there, grab a wheel of brie some brown sugar, butter, maple syrup and copped pecans. Mix and spread on top of the brie and bake.. soooo good!!

I’d get a really great dry, crumbly English cheddar. Whole Foods and Costco (seriously) have some great options. I’d pair it with a Sauvignon Blanc. If you want to bring a red, a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Malbec would be good.

Baked Brie with a little brown sugar on top goes with every white wine! If you like dry wines I suggest a Pinot Grigio from Argentina…my favourite right now!

I like a good Gewürztraminer and chèvre

I like a blue cheese with a sweet wine, riesling or maybe a dessert wine

I would go to Whole Foods and have them suggest something BUT- Jam Jar is a GREAT sweet wine and Saint Angel cheese (from whole foods) spread on crackers is AMAZING.

I love brie or boursin cheese on crackers with smoked salmon and good full-bodied red wine like cabernet

Whoever brings Morbier (or Humboldt Fog, similar) to a wine and cheese party always gets extra-super-awesome bonus points in my book. Pinot Noir or Syrah for pairing.
Also, if you are that rebel who breaks the wine and cheese rule and brings a dry rosé with some marinated olives, I like you even more.
