who has or is going to do the wine box ceremony?!?
We did it and it turned out so well! We are very happy we did it and got ton of complements on it! I have never seen anybody else do it, and was just wondering what brides have decided to do something like this?!
He is a picture of ours
we decided to have my parents and my husbands grandparents come up to each hammer a nail into the box since they have both been married 36+ years! then my I nailed one and my husband nailed one! It was a lot of fun!

Aww. That is such a sweet add-on, having your grandparents hammer it in… I think the wine box ceremony is very meaningful, even if it is is a modern idea/tradition.

We did it!
We had a little bit of a different spin on it – we didn’t do the hammer/nails. Our guests had the option of including a little note to go into the box with our notes to each other. My nieces and nephews picked up the notes during the ceremony while my sister and niece sang. It was awesome. I can’t wait to to open it in 4.5 years!

We are planning a variation on this. We will be making a mini time capsule of our relationship and not include any wine. I think we will also read our letter to eac other during the ceremony instead of waiting 5-10 years.
