Thanks bees!!
@ Sulli: you spoke too soon, I just did it!! hehe!! it was really easy!
Oh, CUTE! We were just going to tie little tags with twine to a wine cork, this is such a good idea. Much easier, I imagine, than the placecard holders where you have to file off a side of the cork so that it lies flat on its side.
@ LittlestBirds: My BFF tried to do that...dremeling one side and cutting the slit on the other, but it was way too messy she said and too cold outside to do it! So we opted to do it this way, which honestly we LOVE a lot better! Its just saving all the corks for 250 escort cards!
You can buy bags of cork at michael's cradft store. There are about 20-30 in a bag for 3.99.
Anyone who did this have their wedding yet? Would be willing to buy them off of you. Thanks.
I love this! It was my first escort card inspiration picture when we got engaged. Now, I just have to find the corks to make it! We checked Michaels, and they just had tiny corks for crafts, nothing like a wine cork...I guess I'll be scouring the internet.
When does one buy them in advance? Can they keep for months? I want to do them now for my wedding in July. Advice?
These are amazing. I've been looking for a way to encorporate corks. You've got a winner here.
