Fiance and I aren’t big drinkers (he’ll have the odd beer or highball, I’ll have a caeser or highball once in a while too) and we don’t drink wine at all. We’re having a brunch reception, beginning at 12:30. Would you want/expect to see wine on the tables? If so would you want red and white, or just one kind? Do you have other suggestions?

For brunch, I’d prefer to see bottles of champagne and pitchers of orange juice for mimosas.

I like the idea of a sparkling wine to make mimosas with (doesn’t have to be champagne) and maybe pitchers of bloody mary mix and vodka too.

I agree – a champagne or sparkling wine would be nice. Nothing heavy – no merlots or cabernets, think light and sweet (Moscato (my favorite), Zinfandel, Rose, Pinot Grigio)

I think the pitchers of OJ and champange/sparkling wine are a great idea! And would probably cut the cost down too. Thank you!

Yes…”sparkling wine” is what I meant. Not necessarily champagne.
Barefoot Bubbly tastes great and is pretty inexpensive! Also, a lot of Spanish cavas are wonderful and inexpensive (Cristalino is one.)
