Is anyone doing, or has anyone seen, a wine-themed wedding? My fiance and I are very into wine and we got engaged at a vineyard, so we thought it would be awesome to have a wine-themed wedding. We would love to get married at the vineyard where we got engaged, but it only holds 75 people. So, we will be getting married in a beautiful church, and then have our reception at a nice hall. Our wedding will be in the fall, and the wedding colors are probably going to be burgundy and yellow.
I am trying to stay away from the green and purple old-fashioned looking grape themes that I keep seeing everytime I try to get ideas. Nothing at all against it, it’s just not me because I like a modern feel.
If you’ve been to or are doing a wine-themed wedding, what are the things that you will have that make it wine themed?
Thanks everyone! 🙂

We used the corks for our escort card holders and then got table number labels from esty that we put on the wine bottles! You can kind of see it in the picture i posted.
You could make a wreath out of wine corks for the door (the one pictured isn’t cute but you get the idea)
Favors could be a wine stopper or opener, or some sort of accessory.

- Wedding: October 2010 - V. Sattui Winery
Our winery wedding is going up on the blog tomorrow! I did wine cork escort cards, wine charms (although Mrs. Jellyfish’s are more usefull IMO), wine bag favors with candies and wine bottle table numbers.

I JUST watched a show where David Tutera threw this big huge wine inspired wedding. It was beautiful. Check it out. I can’t seem to find any pictures, but maybe you can watch the episode? It was technically Pink Merlot themed. The girls name was Kristi Kszepka, but they called her Cricket. The name of the show is My Fair wedding. Probably won’t help much but here’s a link to the site.

Use a wine barrel somewhere- perhaps as a cake table?
(sorry, can’t upload pics at work)
Use wine bottles here and ther with just one or a few colorful flowers- on the bar, in the restrooms etc
Corks of course, for placecards http://www.nuptialknickknacks.com/Maison-du-Vin-Wine-Cork-Place-CardPhoto-Holder-with-Grape-Themed-Place-Cards-Set-of-Four–P1671C18.aspx

Instead of table numbers, give each table a name title, like Merlot or Chardonay, and then incorporate bottles of that wine into the centerpiece. You can design a faux wine label for your wedding and use it on your invitations, programs and throughout your wedding
