Hi bees! This is my first post, though I’ve enjoyed commenting on others & generally lurking about 🙂
Just wondering if you could help me out with some wintry thoughts. Mr Owlie & I are getting married in Sydney in July (which is winter for us in Oz). I live in Thailand, and even though it’s “cool season” right now, it’s really hard to feel inspired about winter wraps or jackets or capes. The average temperature in Sydney will be 8°C (46°F) at night to 16°C (61°F) during the day. I realise this is not cold to a lot of people, but coming from Thailand, that’s freezing!
Any help from other winter brides would be really great, especially if you have pics to post! Thank you 🙂

I wore a long wool coat that I had in my closet. It was freezing here–18 degrees with a windchill.

I don’t even have a dress so I don’t know completely, but I have this pretty wool caplet. Its grey with a brown ribbon to tie it closed. It’s so cute and very, very warm! It won’t be completely warm enough to ward off the -25°C Quebec February weather for long periods of time, but it should at least get me from place to place in style and comfort lol.

I’m wearing a nice ivory scarf and gloves, then I recently found an adorable cardigan, so I might wear that over mine next weekend! Hope that helps 🙂

I was not a winter bride, however, I just saw this pic and thought I’d share because this bride looked GORGEOUS. If I had been a winter bride, I would have totally worn a stole/faux fur wrap like this. I have seen them on Etsy, so you could check there for ideas.

Thanks to Mrs Grape and deathbydesign for some great ideas.
Ginger87, thank you! Hope you have a wonderful day next weekend. So close now! Please come back and post some pictures some time if you can 🙂
Monkeygirl, thank you – that IS gorgeous! I wonder if it’ll accommodate my chunky climber’s shoulders, and if they even sell that fabric around here… Etsy sounds promising, though 🙂
