why not wait until after the ceremony for these pictures? unless there’s not much accumulation on the ground and you pick it up while you’re walking, the hem probably will get soaked. also, the salt can stain silk so be careful.

You could bring something to set under your dress–a white vinyl tablecloth maybe. Then your dress won’t be completely sitting on the ground.

Hmm. I hadn’t thought about that, I’ve been so busy hoping it won’t snow! My photogs said something about them having a white tarp or plastic tablecloth to put under the dress during bridals to keep it clean.

My suggestion would be a white vinyl table cloth or something similar, that’s what we planned on (if) we get snow! Just like during summer weddings a bridesmaid picks up the dress as you walk, make sure you have someone assigned to help you in this instance as well 🙂
