Target has some very nice, more feminine looking coats and I think some are on sale right now.  Pair it with a matching scarf, gloves and a groovy looking hat.  Voila!

I think that a nice wool coat in a fun color (or white/cream) always looks really nice. Just make sure you find a coat that is SUPER flattering and will go will with a pretty scarf πŸ™‚

Do you have a nice pea coat?  I have a red wool one that I bought at Macy’s a while ago.  I think a black pea coat for your FI would look nice too.

You can always go to http://www.target.com.  Or any store for that matter that you DO have that would carry coats.

I agree, a pea coat would look really nice!  You could wear one over a dress or skirt with leggings and nice boots.  Maybe with a nice scarf to give a pop of color. Your FI could wear one over a sweater with jeans πŸ™‚  Just an idea!

I feel your pain!  I’m in Toronto and it’s freezing!

Do you have a coat with a little fur trimmed hood?  That would be cute too.  Love the suggestions of the peacoats. And you could always where a cute little hat if it’s SUPER freezing.

Try the Bay for some good deals!

Aritzia has nice jackets but they’re pricey in my opinion!  The Gap had a 30% off sale this week too!

Can you take some of your pictures indoors?  Like inside a coffee shop, restaurant, or even your home?  That way you have some bundled-up shots in the pretty outdoor scenery, and some indoor shots in your cute clothes!

As far as coats, I’ve gotten my nice winter coats from Banana Republic, Macy’s, and JCrew.  It’s probably a good time to buy online, because of all the holiday specials. : )
