My fiance and I are going to do our engagement session here in a couple of weeks. Hopefully there will be lots of snow! 🙂
Does anyone have any good ideas for clothing options? Have you seen any cute winter engagement session pics that you could share?
I think we want to do one more casual set of pictures (snow angels, snow ball fight, etc.) and then one more formal set (next to Christmas lights etc.). I just don’t want to look all frumpy (especially for the more casual set).

peacoats, scarves, and boots are always chic. You can’t avoid anything too lumpy because you definitely need a coat while you’re out! But peacoats are usually cinched in at the waist (better than, say, a big puffy down jacket–i know mine isn’t particularly flattering on me). Pair your peacoat with really skinny jeans and boots or even tights and boots to help balance the fuller look on top. You could even do those super cute, soft, knitted caps that are really in right now. I think they look great with matching scarves. If you want to strip off your coat for just a few photos, you could do a fitted dress with a light, knitted, tight turtleneck underneath so it’s not a bulky look and just take a few quick photos, then put your coat back on.
