I'm trying to make the same decision (our engagement shoot is Dec. 29th). Cute coat and jeans and boots or a dress and tights. I'm not sure which way I will go yet... but I definitely think a shpping trip is in order :-) I wish I had a big Newfie for my pictures. I'm sure they will turn out great!

And since that coat has an awesomely detailed neck, I'd take some pics of it open and some closed. I can't wait to see them! Please post once you get them!
I think dark denim is good for this sorta thing- it looks dressy but relaxed, ya know?
I would go with jeans and boots. You want to look cute but also be warm and toasty! Our hands were turning into claws from the cold which wasn't pretty!

It was cold when we did ours, so I wore my jacket in between most shots, and I had to beg FI to take his off in a few. lol. It's a great way to mix things up! If you do a scarf, you can totally take it and the coat off, and do just the scarf, just with the coat...
there's a million ways to mix it up!
love the coat!! How about bring props of warm cocoa and mugs and perhaps a cool blankie? do you have an ice skating rink?
I appreciate the input for sure! I think this is a good excuse to buy some new boots (LOL) ... my current ones are awesome, but way too tight to so over jeans!
I hope it's snowing by then... LOL - we're getting married the same day in Calgary!! Where are you having your ceremony/reception?? We're having ours at St. Marys cathedral, and then the reception at the Regency chinese restaurant.
We're going to do e-pics in January too, I hope that they turn out well for you!!
Jeans and most definitely boots. Also, if you can bear it try for some in a dress too. I just love the look of a dress outside in nature. I guess that depends on your location.

I booked out e-pics for December 8th, because my FH really wants to have outdoor, snowy e-pics ... it will definitely be on the cold side, and I am really unsure what to wear ...
I have shoulder-length red/brown hair that I will likely wear down and straight.
I will need to wear a coat, and I have attached a picture of the black wool coat that I already own and plan to wear
I will wear the coat with the neck open, and am planning on a coloured scarf (possibly to co-ordinate with what FH will wear?)
I am not sure if I should go with jeans, or a skirt/dress with tights and boots ...
Help me hive!
