I saw a bunch in my travels, what is your budget like? Do you have a certain theme in mind?
Some of my favorites were Glen Sanders Mansion (they also had really good winter discounts at www.dreamdateweddings.com/ ), the State Room, the Edison Club, and Albany Country Club.

I live in ALbany and were getting married at 11 North Pearl..Have you looked at the appel Inn.. or franklyn plaza? heres a pic of my venue!
@Kate26: It might be a little bit more than an hour outside of Albany, but I am getting married January 21 2012 with 120ish guests at the Otesga in Cooperstown. One of the best things about doing a winter wedding there is that they are closed during the off season so we will have the entire place for our guests. Good Luck!

Hey all! I'm new to the boards and I saw that there were some comments about winter weddings, but I did not see anything about winter wedding venues around the Capital Region (within an hour's driving distance from Albany). Does anyone have any suggestions? We (the fiance and I) would be expecting around 120 people, and we are planning for January of 2013.
