Right now I’ve been looking through bridesmaid dresses and I can’t decide what look I want.
My dress is very formal and the groom will be in a tux, as will the groomsmen. Would it look out of place for the BMs to be in a tea-length dress? The wedding is in February in NYC. I’m worried it would look out of place, but the BMs are more likely to wear the dresses again and they’re less expensive…

It’s going to be chilly! Also if you don’t like the look of tights, or panyhose (which I don’t) you may not get the look you want. February in NYC is cold. I had my wedding in late March and opted for long dresses cause I was afraid it would be too chilly and having shivering bridesmaids is not fun.
If you are afraid of the cost of the dresses, opt for used dresses or David’s bridal, watters, or alfred angelo which are much more reasonably priced dresses.

The entire wedding is indoors, and we’re getting dressed there – so they won’t have to be outside at all. My fiance and I originally thought we may want pictures outside for a little, but that’s a little ridiculous in February, so we’re nixing that idea!

If it’s entirely inside then that’s a different story. What I would do is choose is a wintery color for the dresses such as:
- Navy Blue
- Emerald Green
I used deep purple (plum) with silver accents, for my wedding in late March and was happy with the outcome. My cousin was married this past January and used ice blue, gold and ivory for her colors.
